     About the Photo Archive Program

      Mr Frank Goderre, Treasurer-photo archivist @ Peekskill Museum has been working on the Museum's New Digital Photo Lab Project for some time and we can see from his efforts, the picture collection is now expanding. By early fall 2009, most if not all the work involved in the next paragraph will be in place. And in the 2010 schedule at the museum, we're planning on doing monthly presentations with local historical speakers as well as Mr Goderre's images with power point presentations on a large 46" flat screen TV.

       As Mr Goderre explains;

(The) "Museum has a vast collection of Evening Star negatives (100,000) plus around 200 glass plate negatives from the turn of the century and recently added local lens man, Stan Gitner collection with another 100,000 images available from late sixties to 2006. All available on sale at the museum.   The following will be available for purchase: A digital 8-1/2 x 11" glossy copies for $20.00 & 13x19" enlargements for $45.00 ea. Great Christmas, birthday or any event everyday gifts. They're absolutely priceless. There's area Fire, Police, Highway-Sanitation, commercial & residential images from the turn of the century to present day images. The Digital Photo Lab @ the museum will enable us to digitally develop any photo whether it be from a glass plate negative, photo or celluloid negative, & we now have the capability of doing it right there and many times the memorabilia can be given right back to it's owner without them losing their cherished property."

Former home of Delancy Cole (Civil War Veteran that died in a Confederate prison) being prepared to be moved for the construction of the Assumption Church at 922 1st Street



Home was moved to the West side of the Assumption Church and used as it's Parochial Church for over 50 years



House was torn down to make way for new school in 1957.
