The Peekskill Museum
celebrated its yearly Christmas party

with a visit from Santa Claus, who was able to sit

down to chat and present gifts to several children. The 10 member

Renassaince Vocal Ensemble, organized by Warren and Beverly Dyckman,

performed tradtional Christmas songs from 50, 100 and 200 years ago.

Warm trays of lasagna, chicken cutlets and sausage were available, with cookies and

coffee, and three tables for guests to sit down and relax. The seven Museum display rooms were open to

all visitors during the party on Sunday. Peekskill Museum is glad to commemorate in its house the love

of music and the hospitality practiced by the original residents Dwight and Sarah Herrick during the latter part

of the 1800s. Their three children Ruth, Bertha and John experienced many Christmas

events in the building we still refer to as our "Herrick House."
