Museum official Opening Day to members and the general public took place this year on Sunday, June 13th at 2 p.m.
The program featured Hudson River related industries with a concentrated focus on the former Fleischmann/Standard Brands factory that operated at
Peekskill from 1900 to 1977.
This facility was the largest yeast production factory complex in the world and made several industrial innovations.
We had asked if those with inside knowledge of the Fleischmann operations to contact us with their information or materials for display.
Also, at that time we were interested in contacting people who once worked there for their personal stories. If at this time, anyone is willing
to contribute their stories, we welcome them by contacting
City historian, John Curran, directly or call the museum at 914-736-0473 and leave a message.
Someone will get back to you soon. Thank you.
