The Herrick House
Designed by the famous architectural firm of McKim, Mead, and Bigelow & owned by Dwight Stiles Herrick, a prominent lawyer in Peekskill in the last century as his private home. His wife Sarah was the oldest daughter of another prominent Peekskillian John Simpson.

Museum Origin
The Peekskill Museum was presented to the City of Peekskill by Mrs. Ida M. Adams by deed dated January 3, 1944. It is one of Peekskill's most famous Victorian houses. Read more

The Lincoln Society of Peekskill
Peekskill Lincoln Society was organized in 1903 to recall and
celebrate the character and events of the 16th U.S. President
and related events of Emanipcation and the American civil war.
The Society has since 1904 held annual dinner banquets with a
featured guest speaker. The 2009 event took place at Hollow
Brook Golf Clubhouse in Cortlandt Manor, and feaured author
Harold Holzer as its guest speaker.
The organization operates with a Board of Directors and a
President who serves a one year term. The most recent past
president was John J. Curran for year 2008-2009. Read more.....
